We are offering two kinds of workshops: the "Hands-On"-type (see below) is for people who want to get their hands on the keyboard and learn the practical way. That limits the number of participants. The "Talk+Show"-type has a more open character. Here interesting people present interesting projects and invite you to discuss them.
DIGITAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
in cooperation with Videodata, Hamburg.
Avid is the standard software for digital, non-linear video editing. The participants will work in teams of two at laptops in a network. Guided by an experienced coach they will create their own films. The number of participants is limited to 14 for each session, so please register in advance.
Mon, Sep 22, and Tue, Sep 23, from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 3 PM to 5 PM in Room 121 in the western wing of the Greve building, Hamburg University.

MOTION CAPTURE
in cooperation with Prophysics, Zurich.
Motion Capture means to record the body movements of real people and use them to animate computer generated characters. This leads to a very natural impression. The Vicon system demonstrated in this workshop is one of the leading motion capture systems. It has been used for many feature films and game productions. In this workshop you go through the whole process of motion capturing and learn how to steer a computer character with your own body.
